Daniela Maizner
I am Austrian and I live in Austria
I’m a professional translator with several years’ experience and an all-encompassing passion for languages. I hold a degree in translation, have almost completed my Masters in translation and also hold a BA in Business & Management. I specialise in Law and Economics but I have experience across a broad number of subject areas.
The passion for languages has accompanied me through my entire life but before I decided to turn it into a business, I had been working several years for internationally-operating companies. These were valuable years and I was able to gain professional experience and knowledge across various fields.
Once I decided to become a professional translator, I did a BA in translation at the University of Innsbruck and currently I’m about to finish my Masters degree. I also hold a university degree (Magistra) in Business & Management, which enables me to better understand not only the needs but also the processes of my clients.
I‘ve been working as a freelance translator for a few years now. For me, a translation is not the simple transfer from words into another language but also adapting to my client’s specific context to provide the best possible service.
Based on my education and personal interests, I decided to specialize in law and economics. I’m currently preparing to become a sworn court interpreter in Austria. During my freelance career, I’ve also got the opportunity to work on a wide range of other topics, such as music, tourism, marketing etc., proving myself flexible across a broad subject area.
The human language is an astonishing phenomenon that enables us to put our thoughts into words, to express ourselves and to communicate with others. I’m a translator because I want to help you put into words exactly what you want to express. I’d love to work with you.
