I completed a BA in Spanish Literature in Monterrey, Mexico, and a Masters in Creative Writing at the University of Glasgow. I’ve also studied Italian at different institutions.
100% bilingual and bicultural (British/Mexican) from early childhood, I come from a family of linguists where conversation at the dinner table always revolved around translation and the transferability of concepts and ideas between different cultures. This deeply influenced my fascination with words and my passion for writing.
I’ve worked as a professional translator since 2004. My first book was published in 2014 and was named by Mexican newspaper Reforma as one of the best poetry books of the year.
